Manor ISD soliciting feedback for 2017-18 academic calendar

Update: voting is now closed

UPDATE: We've included a FAQ about the innovator calendar addressing questions we've received. You can find the FAQ here.

Manor ISD is presenting the public and employees with two calendar options for the 2017-18 school year. The first is a traditional calendar that closely resembles previous years' academic calendars. The second is an innovative calendar created with student and staff wellness in mind by including a three-day weekend every month, the addition of a Fall Break Oct. 16-20, and a week of prep and planning for teachers in August before students return.

We are soliciting feedback about the calendar options from community members and staff until Jan. 17, at which point voting will be closed.

Details about each calendar option are bullet-pointed below and the calendars can be found in the linked PDFs. To vote fill out the Google Form at the bottom of the page or click here.

The number of PD hours needed will be determined at a later date.
