I will be assigning homework every night except Friday. Homework accounts for 10% of the students grade for that grading period (every 9 weeks). It is my students' responsibility to look at the board and write the daily assignment in their Student Agenda (planner). Any homework that is not received on the day it is due receives these consequences:
Formative Loop: Immediate STRIKE on the behavior chart for that day. 3 strikes in one day will result in a referral to the principal's office.
Classroom Work: Not every homework assignment is graded. Those that are will be graded on completion and quality of the work assigned. If the work was attempted and it shows a true effort to complete the activity it will get a grade of 100.
The students are allowed up to 3 school days to get the work in. Any late work that NOT TURNED IN within the 3 day period will be graded as a 50. Any work that is complete and an effort was made that is turned in late will receive these grades:
1 day late = 89
2 days late = 76
3 days late = 50
